Step Back From Your Small Business
by Stuart Livesey
It’s Easter and for many of us that means a long weekend. For some it’s also the busiest time of the year while for other small business owners it offers a chance to step back and take a break. If you’re one of those who can take a break then be sure to do it.
Step away from your small business and recharge your batteries. Do something different and relax. The couple next door who own a big plastering business here in Hervey Bay packed up their kids and their cars and went camping.
Toni has a table that she’s going to start decorating with folk art today. Yesterday I joined two other average model railroaders and talked model trains for a whole afternoon. Little things like that can make all the difference.
Yesterday (Good Friday) we had breakfast at the best cafe in Hervey Bay and watched wild dolphins enjoying their breakfast only 40 or 50 feet from where we were sitting.

I’m sure these dolphins were conspiring against me - every time I hit the shutter button the pod of dolphins disappeared
You need times like that and times away from your small business to recharge your batteries.
