Search Engine Optimisation for Small Business 2
by Stuart Livesey
I’m often reluctant to recommend anything that’s related to search engine optimisation that you might find online. That reluctance stems from the fact that the information you find online is usually plain wrong or a complete waste of time or downright damaging (or even a combination of all three).
However there are some good tips out there that are helpful for small business people who want to do their own search engine optimisation and you’ll find 21 Essential SEO Tips and Techniques here. I certainly don’t agree with everything Matt says but there’s nothing in what he recommends that will damage your chances of getting a good listing and many of his points are absolute gems.

Sorry Mark - there was just a whiff of spam about the post before I edited it - especially after I had a good look at your site.

Hello Mark
Thanks for dropping by. I was interested to see your list or articles and see how you measured up against the selection criteria for a high quality SEO firm.
I’m not sure that being in the top 10 is good enough any more - if it’s below the fold then it’s out of sight and people don’t go there. So if it’s not listed in the top 5 it’s probably not good enough.
I think people here in Australia who are looking for a good SEO firm also need to be asking questions to ascertain whether or not the firm understands what’s needed to achieve good results when Local Search hits our shores - in this neck of the woods I don’t there are many who do and certainly none who seem to be preparing for it.

Oh and those are some interesting links you have down the bottom of the ROI page Mark - High PR Directories with little traffic and even less PR … and they seem to have been around for a while too.
I don’t mean to be rude Mark but links like that buried down below the fold - all interlinked and all on the same IP address as ROI … they just leave so many unanswered questions
