Who Said Small Business Can't Outsource? VirtuStaff Announces Launch of Operation in Australia

The growing trend towards outsourcing non-essential back office duties, has bought about an increased demand for Australian businesses to provide low cost outsourcing solutions to small and medium business.

One such company that is addressing this niche is the newly established VirtuStaff run by industry veteran Brian Taylor, this company provides "leased employee services" from their Indian based delivery centre whilst all management is located in Australia.

They use a variety of mediums to allow their clients to communicate with their leased employee; these include video conferencing, e-mail and even free international phone calls. Brian Taylor said "we saw that the largest employer in Australia [small business] didn't have the same flexibility as their larger rivals, in terms of outsourcing, so we created VirtuStaff to even the playing field a little bit".

With the unemployment rate reaching all time lows and quality employees increasingly hard to find, many Australian companies are forced to look offshore. This is especially prevalent in the Information Technology and Accounting industries.

For years large business have been outsourcing back office jobs, but until now it has been difficult for smaller businesses to tap into these low cost markets. VirtuStaff claims that they can save between 50 and 65% of the cost of a local placement. "The average cost to hire a Data Entry Operator in Australia is approaching $40,000pa opposed to about $16,000 through VirtuStaff".

The major advantage of VirtuStaff, according to Taylor is that it is completely Tax deductible.
