| A Burning Desire to Succeed How badly do you want to succeed in your business? That probably sounds like a really stupid question but I have just been over at Steve Pavlina's personal development site reading an article called Cultivating Burning Desire. In that article Steve makes the point that the only way to succeed is to have a burning desire and from there he goes on to give some pointers to help you cultivate that burning desire to succeed. One of the points that Steve suggested really resonated with me because it's basically what I did when I left my last job. Steve suggests that if you really want to succeed then you burn your boats, you don't give yourself an out, or a way of escape. When you have nothing to fall back on and there is no escape route there is only one way to go if you want to survive. From personal experience I can tell you that there is nothing that motivates you more than facing challenges with no chance of retreat.
