Growing a Business Takes Time Just lately that has been a recurring theme in a series of articles Toni wrote of an online publication and it's one that I was again reminded of as I read a entry over on ProBlogger. No one should expect an instant income from any business that they may start and if you're business is based on line it can take even longer than bricks and mortar type businesses. If your business is online, whether it be marketing, writing, designing, scripting etc. it's going to take a lot of time to become known and established. There was a time when just a few months was all that it might take but these days, if you want to be realistic, you should't be expecting a return on a web based business in under 12 months. There will be some who can establish themselves and produce an income that they can survive on in far less time than twelve months but for the majority the time is now around the twelve month mark and extending outwards with every passing day. 5 Aug 2005 |
